We see community service as an important professional, civic and moral value, and an integral part of our firm.
Our contribution to the community takes place on several levels: legal assistance, education and personal involvement.
Legal assistance – our firm serves as mentor and legal advisor to the Keren Shemesh foundation, which encourages young entrepreneurs aged 20–35 who wish to establish and run a profitable business of their own.
Within the organisation's activity we assist young entrepreneurs who want to set up an independent business that provides a living. Starting a business is a complex process, with no shortage of bureaucratic, managerial and marketing challenges. These are a significant burden for new entrepreneurs without business experience – even the most talented and determined – and we are there to support them legally and commercially.
Education – a lawyer from our firm serves as a mentor to robotics teams in the various leagues of the international FIRST organisation, which promotes technological education and strives to encourage academic excellence, research and teamwork.
The work with the teams includes administrative support, help with marketing and securing sponsorships, logistical assistance, and accompanying the team to events and competitions.
Personal involvement – a lawyer from our firm and his family serve as a foster family for children from difficult backgrounds.
In this framework, the family worked with the Ben Shemen Youth Village and has accompanied a girl who came from a broken home from the time she was in the 9th grade until today – now grown up, she enlisted in the army in a command role, completed full and meaningful service, and today works and studies.
SCoTCH is a national challenge that connects education, community, and technological innovation to strengthen social cohesion in Israel and includes a first-of-its-kind educational innovation competition that seeks technological solutions to strengthen social cohesion in middle schools in Israel.
In this framework, I volunteer as a legal mentor to startups, entrepreneurs and educators, and together we accelerate educational startups that develop real solutions for the field.
The selected projects will be piloted in schools across the country, and the project that makes the most significant impact will receive a grant of 1,000,000 NIS for further development.
The Latet Lawyers association works to promote access to justice in Israel by connecting the growing need for legal aid among unique and disadvantaged populations with the knowledge, capabilities and willingness to contribute of the legal community.
The association builds a broad professional infrastructure that brings together law firms, independent lawyers, academic clinics and legal organisations, and matches requests for legal aid from people of limited means with those willing to provide advice and representation free of charge. With the outbreak of the "Swords of Iron" war, the association's activity was significantly expanded.
Our firm, together with Israel's leading law firms, has mobilised for reserve soldiers, providing legal advice and, in suitable cases, legal representation free of charge.
In this framework, reservists and their partners who have encountered a legal issue arising from their reserve service turn to our firm. The areas of legal assistance are varied and include, among others: contracts and legal engagements, dealings with state authorities, and more.
